to our Family Gites
Just 3 miles from the village of Avène (Haut Languedoc), famous for its thermal spa with healing waters, we would
like to welcome you to our recently restored and fully equipped, 3 star
apartments. The ancient buildings were formerly shepherds huts belonging to
our ancestors. There is plenty of parking space and a garage,
unlike Avene itself, where it’s difficult to park near your gite.
Welcome to a haven of peace and
tranquility! Sample regional wines in front of the fireplace during spring
and autumn evenings (wood provided), or in the shade on the patio offering
a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.

TV reception is excellent so you will be able to watch the Queen’s
Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics in 2012 without any hitches
Your stay in the tiny hamlet of
Sadde will be truly memorable! Those who love hiking or mountain biking on
the numerous paths in spring and summer, or searching for mushrooms in
autumn, will find Sadde the perfect base from which to explore. Each
apartment comfortably sleeps 6 people.
Enjoy the fresh mountain air of our
mountains and discover the historic and cultural sites of the region and
combine with a day to the sea (we are only one hour from the Mediterranean). We hope to welcome you very soon to our apartments "Perdigal" and
"Aouset" named after local birds.
During your stay you will be cordially invited for an
aperitif with Dany & Gerard in their Avène home overlooking the river
to sample some home made delights.

These prices are inclusive of water, and
electricity at 8 kwh per day (usage above this is charged at standard
domestic rates). In March, April and October firewood is provided for the
fireplace free of charge.
Guests are expected to leave the Gite in
a tidy condition on leaving, as is customary in France, by vacuuming the
floors and leaving the kitchen and bathroom in a clean state. Finally we
can provide bed linen 10 Euros per bed and towels for a supplement of 4
Euros per person.
Prices for Perdigal are slightly more
than Aouset in spring, summer, autumn – guests are able to enjoy the
much bigger patio so it’s the best choice !
